My guide to holiday shopping in New York
Where to get the most special gifts this holiday season
John Derian (East Village)
This store is nothing short of spectacular, especially during the Holidays. My top picks are: anything from Astier de Villatte (including their incense and their cheeky mugs), and a tote bag from Dragon Diffusion.
Zitomer (Upper East Side)
This old-school pharmacy on Madison Ave is an institution. Their selection of Santa Maria Novella and Mason Pearson are a go-to!
The Seven (West Village)
This jewelry / home / fashion store is tiny but has the most beautiful gems. Would go if you are looking to splurge! Love their collection of jewelry from Christina Alexiou and Gigi Clozeau.
Belgian Shoes (Midtown East)
Treat yourself or a preppy loved-one to these handmade loafers. I personally adore the Midinette in the burgundy calf with navy trimmings.
ABC Carpet (Flatiron)
Lose yourself inside of ABC Carpet admiring their Ginori collection and their Sabre cutlery.
Zafferano (Hudson Square)
The godfather of funky yet utterly-chic glassware, this Italian glassware will wow anyone this Holiday season! The Party Collection is my personal favorite.
Big Night (West Village and Greenpoint)
This is the spot if you are looking for a gift for the cool hostess in your life. I would go for anything from Sophie Lou Jacobsen.
Goop (NoHo)
GP does have good taste. What I’m loving right now are the La Bonne Brosse hairbrushes, these chic zodiac drinking glasses, and all the jewelry from Fondrae.
Happy hunting
xx
